This time of year always reminds me that I have not taken enough time to reflect on the things I’m thankful for. Especially when it comes to living green, there are so much in my personal journey that I am grateful for.
Here are just some of the things I’m grateful for this year:
- Being with a partner who is also enthusiastic about living green and supports my online pursuit to share the movement
- My ability to pursue jobs in environmental fields that I’m passionate about
- Living in an area that has a subscription composting program (and uses the compost for local farming!)
- The time I have to dedicate to this blog
- Being in a place of financial comfort that allows me to explore various green living options
I recognize what a privilege it is for me to be able to experience my green journey the way that I do. Not everyone enters this journey with the same opportunities or under the same circumstances. Something I will be striving for in my green journey is helping to make green lifestyles more accessible to a wider group of people (whether through education, charity, volunteer work, etc.)
